How to use this result

The ENERGY STAR buying chart groups rooms below and above 2,000 square feet. This tool uses the smaller-room band at exactly 2,000 and flags that approximate boundary. For small to medium rooms it returns 20-30, 25-40 or 30-50 pints per day by moisture condition; larger rooms return 30+, 40+ or 50+. These are broad ranges, not exact capacities.

Below 65°F, investigate models specified for lower temperatures. Check the exact minimum in the manual; automatic defrost does not guarantee operation in every cold basement. Pump lift and hose connections require exact manufacturer documentation.

Repair active water entry separately. Do not operate electrical equipment in standing water. Read the sizing guide, cold-basement guide and drainage guide.
