This dehumidifier worked great the first summer. The second summer all the controls would light up and the fan would run, but it did not collect any water.

Dies after 1year
Dehumidifier stopped working after 1 year. Fan runs fine, compressor is hot but coils not cold; hence no dehumification.

When warranty ends, so does dehumidifying
Unless you don’t mind buying a new dehumidifier every year or two, avoid Haier.
Mine worked well when brand new – dried up our basement quickly.

It does what it’s supposed to
This dehumidifier is set up so it runs all the time, draining through an attached hose into a basement sink.

Works well after a month of use
Have only had it a month, works well.
We have it in our garage workshop to keep all of the tools from getting
rusty.

I will let the accounts of the many dissatisfied Haier victims stand for themselves. Yes, haier produces junk.

Good while it lasted
I bought this unit about 18 mos. ago. Sometime in the last several months, it died. Not sure when it gasped its last breath, but it is now DOA. Completely dead.

Haier, No BUY
I was very satisfied for the first season. Now it does not work. Machine runs coils dont get cool no condensation no worky.

Haier HDN455 45 pint Dehumidifier Review
This is an excellent dehumidifier. The unit vents the dry air from the top unlike my Whirlpool dehumidifier that vents from the back.

i sent this back , i ran it for 3 days and nothing not one drop of moisture in a very damp basement.
